Zac Brown Band and James Taylor to Light Up ACM Stage on April 3
Zac Brown Band will give one of this year's most anticipated
performances when they share the stage with one of their musical heroes
James Taylor for a special duet at the 46th Annual Academy of Country
Music Awards on April 3.
Brown, who is often cited for having worn out his cassette tape of
'James Taylor's Greatest Hits' at least three times because he played
them too often, adds "James Taylor is the single biggest influence I
have, period."
And that influence has paid off for Brown who leads all contenders this
year with nine personal nominations, five of which are shared with the
Zac Brown Band. The southern rockers garnered an Album of the Year nod
for 'You Get What You Give' (Atlantic/Southern Ground Artists) as well
as nominations for Vocal Group of the Year and Song of the Year for "As
She's Walking Away" featuring Alan Jackson.
Said Taylor of the collaboration, "I'm honored to have been asked to
perform with the Zac Brown Band...I'm a fan and think they're one of the
truest and most authentic talents out there. Can't wait to make some
music together."
