Clay Gets His Blog On...
Since last Coy blogged, many a thing hath happened. First &
foremost, a large congratulations is in order for the newlywed Chris
& Holly Friar. Chris is under the impression that Holly has
"Whatever It Is" & we have encouraged both of them to see a doctor.
The second week of June was eventful & taxing. Starting with the
CMT Awards in Nashville. Yes, we left empty-handed but were happy with
the boot we left in Nashville's ass after our performance of "Free."
Speaking of "Free," thanks to you, it's doing very well on the
country radio & video charts! The video, exclusively containing
clips from our recent USO tour to Iraq, is something that we're very
proud of. We hope that it's not forgotten for next year's CMT Awards.
After the awards we played Memphis, Birmingham, Nashville (CMA
Fest), & Manchester, TN (Bonnaroo). The weather was nothing short of
what I would imagine the sauna being like in hell. I walked away from
all of those shows looking like last place in a wet T-shirt contest
(although, I'm certain that I placed in Birmingham). That week was
followed by a handful of country festivals & a couple of our own
shows in the Midwest. The conditions were much more agreeable there.
