Lincoln, NE

  • Jimmy

"I remember playing Lincoln for the first time and the crowd cheering in the middle of what I thought was a strange part of the song, before realizing we had just sung Lincoln in Colder Weather."

  • Hop

"Whenever we play Nebraska, the crowd goes apes**t when we play "Colder Weather". I love that. Here is another interesting fact. In 1998, I took three high school students to Lincoln for the International Thespian Conference. I was teaching at East Hall High School at the time. We had a blast!"

  • Mango

"Ive never been to Lincoln, but Im curious to find out who has the best steak in town."

"2000, Tampa, FL... first tour with Marshall Tucker Band. This was eye opening... especially for a 21 year old."

  • Jimmy

"I once had a fan tell me Tampa has more days of sunshine than any other US city. The weather is always gorgeous, and especially in the winter, its great to play there. Before ZBB, I used to play in a band whose tour would bring us to an outdoor courtyard venue called Jannus Landing. Cant believe we are now playing back to back amphitheater shows!"

  • Hop

"Im an FSU grad. (1993) I have family in Tampa and it's a pleasure to visit every time."

  • Mango

"Ive only been to Tampa to catch a cruise ship, but Im hoping to visit the Museum of Science and Industry."

"We recently played a benefit for the Everglades with Jimmy Buffett at The Breakers in West Palm Beach. Its such a beautiful part of the country. The beaches are so amazing that I couldnt pass them up. So my family met me down there after the show and we extended our stay."

Pelham, AL

  • Jimmy

"My first time at Oak Mountain Amphitheatre, I went to see The Dave Matthews Band. Birmingham is such a close neighbor to Atlanta, my friend and I took a mini road trip, saw an amazing show, and were home that night. The first time ZBB played Birmingham was at The Nick. Then it was Zydeco, Workplay Theater, and then Oak Mountain. Im probably missing a couple venues, but its been a long journey. I once actually played on the street in Five Points in order to get enough gas to make it back home to Atlanta!"

  • Hop

    "Yippee Kai Yay"

  • Mango

"Every time I drive through Birmingham, I HAVE to listen to Randy Newmans song Birmingham. I once played downtown at a bar with an early version of the Zac Brown Band. In 2001 played Regs Coffee House for the very first show of John Mayers Room For Squares tour. Ive played The Nick more times than I care to mention."

June 7

Atlanta, GA

  • Clay

"2009, Atlanta, GA... backstage at The Fox Theatre. Same night as recording "Pass the Jar"."

  • Jimmy

"My first ever concert at Lakewood was Lollapalooza One. Janes Addiction blew me away, and I grew up seeing many shows there over the years (Beastie Boys, Jimmy Buffett, DMB, Mettallica, Skynard, Soundgarden, Rage, NIN, John Mayer, ect.) dreaming about one day playing on that stage. Its literally a dream come true!"

  • Mango

"For a brief two years Atlanta was my home. I used to drive around and intentionally get lost, just so I could learn the streets better. I cant leave town without visiting the Highland Bakery or Fellinis. I used to play in bar bands in the Buckhead area with Francisco Vidal. This is where I first met Zac. Whenever I pull into town, always ask myself, Why Georgia, why?""

June 8

Nashville, TN

  • Jimmy

"Before getting to know Nashville, I thought it was just a home for the cookie cutter musical industry to produce country acts. Little did I know it was home of some of the best music fans, musicians, instruments, songwriters, and many other talents. The culture there is alive and growing, and its a now place I look forward to visiting every time I see it on our schedule."

  • Hop

"This is probably the biggest and best show that we do all year. 70,000 rabid music fans in one spot for a full week. It doesnt get any better than this!"

  • Mango

"Nashville is my home. It is the best place in the world for a musician to live. There is no pizza better than DeSanos. I learned many valuable lessons while playing with some of Nashvilles great songwriters. I had the honor of co-founding the Southern Ground Nashville recording studio, one of the countrys finest recording studios. Nashville is home to my favorite coffee, Drews Brews Coffee."

June 14

Cuyahoga Falls, OH

"San Diego-We were doing a radio gig at a BBQ restaurant in San Diego. We had about two hours before we started. I went and took a nap under a tree. The weather was so awesome that I slept for like an hour and half in the grass."

  • Coy

"LA- We went out one night in LA and went to a club called Les Doux. This is some place that you'd see Paris Hilton at. We were way too country to be there. We came in like a bunch of hicks and had a blast. I slipped and face planted a girl's crotch and don't think I've ever laughed so hard. We also met the comedian Josh Wolf that night. He is now a great friend."

  • Coy

"LA I was hanging out with an actor friend of ours named Clifton Collins Jr. We were grabbing a bite of Mexican food. He got a call and said Chris Cornell, lead singer for Soundgarden, is doing an acoustic show at the Troubadour. We caught a cab over and his buddy Slash. Yeah the Slash was hanging out outside waiting for us to get there and he got us in. As we were leaving Tom Hanks was shaking everyone's hand who had came to the show. Very serial. Slash is a total sweetheart guy."
