Bibbity Bloggity Boo!
So, class, lots to discuss. Your notes will be graded - so pay attention.
First of all, the official end of the Southern Ground Tour was two weeks ago. We learned, laughed, & loved all across this fair land of ours for the past 11 months with Nic Cowan, Levi Lowery, Sonia Leigh, & Joey+Rory in tow. The past year has obviously been earth shattering for us. We sincerely thank every one of you who shared a show or two with us during that tour. We're so proud of that run & we learned A LOT about playing to big crowds... which comes in handy for my next subject.
We've been rehearsing for the past three days here in Raleigh, NC for our first show of this tour. It kicked off tonight & couldn't have gone any better in my opinion. Casey Driessen & Southern Ground recording artists The Wood Brothers are our compadres on this new & exciting tour. They add so much to the show & we feel like giggling school girls watching some of our heroes open up & sit in with us. Gary Mule Deer is also emceeing a little on some of the dates. He is hilarious. It's a really special show that we're a part of & we hope that all of you within driving distance can make it out for these upcoming shows. Check your local listings or our shows page on our website. & as always, consult your doctor before using.
The new album is officially finished... finé... done. We are so proud of this new collection of songs. We can't wait for you to hear them. The album pre-order actually started earlier this week. No matter how you obtain your music, the pre-order is available to you now. You can be the first one on your block to have the new Zac Brown Band album on September 21st, 2010. & playing on a country radio station near you: our new single - "As She's Walking Away" featuring the legendary Alan Jackson. Most people don't know that he's actually legendary for things other than music. He's quite astute at Scrabble. He is also known world wide for his dazzling mustache.
That about does it. I'm tired. Tonight's show sucked the ever loving energy from my being. Let's talk soon.
Stay sweet,
Clay
PS. Our song "Free" went #1 on country radio this week. How cool is that?

| My wife and I saw you guys in Kingsport, TN a few weeks ago. I went to the show being a regular fan and enjoying the music whenever I hear it, as a normal fan would.
After seeing you guys live I have a whole different level of appreciation for the band as a whole. I used to be a heavy concert goer and have seen many, many shows. In fact, I saw two different shows the day before I saw your concert. I went to the Carnival of Madness tour featuring Shinedown and ran across town to catch the last 6 songs from Smashing Pumpkins at their show. There is no comparison for me whatsoever. You guys blew me away.
I will say that you guys are the most impressive group of musicians that I have saw live that I can remember seeing. Your music hits my soul. It takes me to a different place and makes me my mind wander for just a little bit. To me it doesn't get any better. I look forward to seeing many of your concerts in the future.
Before the concert I just had "The Foundation" on CD. But now I have downloaded everything I could find on Itunes and I have bought "Pass the Jar." I've literally listened to it everyday and am still rocking out to it.
Thanks for inspiring my life and for growing my appreciation for music again. I'm a novice guitar player and really appreciate the music for what it is. Thank you for making me pick back up my old guitar and feel Free again. That's what it's all about isn't it?
Thanks, |

| She guarded you in Iraq and missed the concert! - 2010-08-24 |
| Dear ZBB...my daughter was thrilled for the arrival of ZBB at her Air Base in Iraq this year! She said the uplifting morale you brought to the troops, even in advance of your arrival - was just amazing!
She was playing your Chicken Fried the other day and I asked how she liked your concert! Her response - "I was put on special assignment that night - manned the BIG GUN in the turret of the hummer...to provide them extra protection around the perimeter of the base! So - I never got to see ZBB!" :-(
The good news... she hasn't a clue at this moment...that I have purchased tickets to your upcoming venue at Blossom - tomorrow night, in Akron, Ohio. She will surely see you all then!
Thanks for all you do for the Troops! And God Bless them All! |

| Sorry couldn't see you when you appeared at The Preakness in Baltimore this past May. Strapped for $$ right now, taking care of kids and started a new job (YAY!) Hope you can slip into a few smaller clubs/venues that don't cost an arm and a leg...To you, it's might be about the money (we all have bills to pay), but MUSIC is a great way to let-go of our troubles for awhile! Also, ever think about doing a musical make-over to Norman Greenbaum's "Spirit in the Sky"? I could almost hear it now...My best to the whole ZBB family, |

| My Girl - 2010-08-17 |
| Sometime in May, I believe, My 4 yo daughter heard on a local radio station that Zach Brown Band was playing with Dave Matthews at PNC park in Pittsburgh PA. She looked at me with her sweet face and ever so properly asked "Mommy, can we go see Zach & the Boys in Pittsburgh?" I was blown away!! So, i immediately got online and bought tickets for us and 2 friends to go. She was estatic!! Long story short... She sang every song word for word right along with the band. She was given kudos from the people around us cause some didn't know any songs other than "toes." The only disappointment of the evening came when she couldn't buy a shirt from her 1st concert... everything had been pulled by 8:30 pm. This note is to tell you that you are reaching more than adults with your music. My daughter will probably be a life long fan, and i love that!! Keep doing what you're doing! You are travelin a long path to much success. May God bless you all and keep you safe in your travels. Thanks for puttin a smile on my girls face, a tap in her foot, a wiggle in her butt, & a song in her heart! Good music touches the soul. |

| ZBB Rocked Raleigh! - 2010-08-17 |
| We had a BLAST in Raleigh. ZBB rocked the house. The place was packed and the energy from the band and crowd was electrifying. I was hoping that your new album would be as good as the last one, and last night proved that it certainly will be! The new songs are great! It's amazing that you guys can give your audience chills when the temperature outside felt like we were sitting on the surface of the sun. I WILL be in the audience when you guys come around again. I hope it's soon! |
